Ylläs is one of the most beautiful gems in northern Finland. The seven fells of Ylläs delight tourists year after year. Most of the fells are located in Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, a nature reserve. In winter, you can enjoy the wonderful skiing opportunities of Finland’s largest ski center or explore the fells by hiking. In other seasons, the fells offer the most wonderful routes for hiking and camping. Ylläs is a place where you can have unique and memorable experiences. How about hopping on to a husky sled and driving through the snowy forest?  Or would you like a more peaceful reindeer ride? Many people travel to Ylläs to see “the sky on fire”, i.e. the northern lights, at least once in their life. You can see the northern lights all year round, but the best time is usually from the end of August until spring. Did you know that Finnish Lapland is one of the best populated areas in the world for viewing the northern lights?

Ylläs is a skier’s paradise, because Ylläs has the best and widest ski trail network in Finland, up to 330 kilometers! The tracks are well maintained and there are several cozy skiing cafes throughout the Ylläs ski trails. Ylläs is also known for the best mountain biking trails in Finland. There are routes for both mountain biking and speedy downhill biking as well as winter mountain biking. The maintenance and service of the routes is first class. In summer, Ylläs offers countless opportunities for cycling, hiking, fishing, kayaking, disc golf and horseback riding, just to name a few. In autumn, the spectacular colors of the fall offer the most beautiful setting for hiking and trekking.

Most cabins are located right next to the tracks. In most locations, the trail even starts directly from the cottage’s yard! There are also ski-in cabins for skiers, where you can ski directly from the slopes to the cabin. All of our cottages have well-equipped kitchens that enable cooking during your vacation. You can also find a cabin with a jacuzzi or, for example, a separate wooden sauna. There are many options for families with children, and many cottages have children’s equipment, i.e. travel cot, high chair and potty. We also offer pet-friendly accommodation in Ylläs. If you are looking for accommodation for a business group or a large party, you will find a large cabin for 16 people as well as several smaller cabins or apartments next to each other in our selection. When suitable accommodation is found, you can make a reservation online and pay it conveniently with a credit card or online bank payment.

What is included in the AuroraCottage cabin rent?

The price of each cabin includes final cleaning, firewood and, of course, electricity and water. Linen and towels are either included in the cottage rent, or alternatively you can order them separately or take your own linen with you.
