KärpänLumo is a log cabin built in 2023 in the peaceful Kaupinjärvi area of ​​Äkäslompolo. The rooms of this one-story property have large windows, and on the wooded plot, nature is soothingly present everywhere. On Kärpänkuja, the fells loom from behind the forest, and within 200 meters you will find a 1 km long connecting trail (accessible from around Christmas/New Year, depending on the weather) to the Ylläs' 330 km ski trail network. The services of Äkäslompolo are less than two kilometers from the cabin, and the SkiBus stop can be found approximately 1 km away. Whether you enjoy downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, cycling or hiking, Ylläs area’s multiple outdoor activities are easily accessible.

KärpänLumo's room arrangement and unique interior combining traditional and modern is designed for adult relaxation and resting after the day outside. There are three bedrooms in the cabin, one of which is also intended for remote work use. You can start your day by watching the sun rise from behind the fell on the east side and the traditional log cabins of the area coloring the scenery on the north side. A super-fast 5G connection is available, e.g. for remote work and the room has been soundproofed. There are in total six beds in the bedrooms (a bunk bed with high-quality mattresses in the combined work and bedroom) and this is the optimal size of the apartment, taking into account the total surface area and the sauna facilities. The living room's leather couch can be spread out for two more guests if necessary.

KärpänLumo also has a combined living room/kitchenette, utility room and sauna facilities. The wonderful glazed terrace connected to the sauna offers a great setting for chilling and admiring the forest and the evening sun all year round. An open terrace on the southern wall is a great place to grill and admire the surrounding landscape outside the winter season.

The washing tower is at your disposal for laundry maintenance. Outside you can find the plugs needed for car heating (also power current for the needs of electric car drivers).

Toimiva ja tilava mökki neljän hengen majoitukseen. Etätyö onnistui nettiyhteyden ja työtilan osalta hyvin. Ainoa aurinkoisen päivän tuoma harmi oli olohuoneen ikkunoiden asennuksen jättämät lukuisat imukuppien jättämät jaljet, mutta nehän on helposti hoidettavissa kuntoon. Rentouduttiin ja nautittiin Äkäslompolosta taas jälleen kerran. Mökin vuokraus, saapuminen ja poistuminen helppoa ja vaivatonta.
